International Students
From your Letter of Offer to a student pass in your passport, your Malaysian study visa moves through five clear stages. We walk every step with you.
Figures and timelines below are indicative samples for guidance only. Our admissions team confirms the current requirements and handles the submission to EMGS on your behalf.

Before you begin
The Malaysian student pass is processed through Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS). The good news: as your sponsoring institution, Moname International College prepares and lodges the application for you, then tracks it until your pass is endorsed. Your job is simply to keep your documents ready and respond quickly when asked.

Why students choose MIC
An indicative end-to-end timeline of around 4 to 8 weeks, depending on document readiness and nationality.
How it works
Five stages take you from your Letter of Offer to a student pass endorsed in your passport. Follow the timeline from the top.

Step 01
Submit your application to your chosen programme with your academic records. Once you meet the entry requirements, MIC issues an official Letter of Offer — the document that opens your student pass application.

Step 02
Our admissions team lodges your student pass application with Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) on your behalf, uploading your documents and tracking the case so you never deal with the portal yourself.

Step 03
After document verification and the required checks, EMGS issues your Visa Approval Letter — typically within a few weeks. The VAL is your green light to make travel arrangements to Malaysia.

Step 04
Students from certain countries obtain a single-entry visa (eVISA or visa-on-arrival, depending on nationality) before flying. We tell you exactly whether this step applies to you and how to complete it.

Step 05
Land in Kuala Lumpur, complete your post-arrival medical screening at an approved clinic, and submit your passport for the student pass to be endorsed. Once stamped, you are fully enrolled and ready to begin.

Keep these scan-ready
Clear scans of every item speed your approval.
What you need
Having clean, certified copies ready from the start is the single biggest factor in a fast approval. Prepare these five items before you apply — final requirements are confirmed by EMGS and our admissions team.
Valid for at least 18 months from your intended arrival, with blank pages for endorsement.
Recent photos on a white background that meet the official EMGS specification.
Certified copies of the qualifications and transcripts that meet your programme's entry requirements.
A completed pre-arrival health declaration, part of the EMGS medical screening process.
A bank statement or sponsorship letter showing you can fund your tuition and living costs.

We handle it for you
Visa processes can feel daunting from another country. They shouldn't. Our admissions team prepares, submits, and tracks your EMGS application from start to finish — keeping you informed at every milestone so there are no surprises before you land in Kuala Lumpur.
We lodge and manage your EMGS case so you never navigate the portal alone.
Regular status updates at every milestone, from VAL to endorsement.
Guidance through medical screening and student-pass endorsement once you land.
