Pre-arrival declaration
Complete and submit a health declaration form as part of your EMGS application. This confirms your fitness to study and flags anything that needs attention before you travel.
International Students
Every international student pass in Malaysia is processed through EMGS β Education Malaysia Global Services, the central agency appointed to verify documents, run security checks, and issue your Visa Approval Letter. Here is exactly what to expect.
Moname International College submits and tracks your EMGS application on your behalf, so you can focus on preparing for life in Kuala Lumpur. All fees and timelines below are indicative samples β confirm current figures with our admissions team.

EMGS coordinates with Malaysian Immigration so your student pass is handled through a single, transparent channel.
What is EMGS?
EMGS is the official one-stop centre that manages student pass applications for international students across Malaysia. Once you accept your offer at MIC, our admissions office opens your case in the EMGS portal, uploads your documents, and monitors each stage until your Visa Approval Letter (VAL) is issued.
Because everything flows through one verified system, you always know where your application stands β from initial submission to your post-arrival medical and student pass endorsement.

Step by step

MIC opens your case in the EMGS portal and uploads your passport, photos, offer letter, and academic documents. You receive an EMGS reference number to track progress.
Day 1β3
EMGS verifies your documents and runs the required immigration and security clearances. Any missing or unclear items are flagged early so we can resolve them quickly.
Week 1β2
Once approved, EMGS issues your Visa Approval Letter (VAL) β your green light to travel. This typically takes a few weeks from submission, subject to checks.
~Week 3β4
After you land in Malaysia, you complete a medical check-up at an approved clinic and submit your passport for the student pass sticker to be endorsed by Immigration.

Health screening
A health screening is a standard part of every student pass. There are three simple checkpoints β one before you travel and two after you arrive in Malaysia.

Complete and submit a health declaration form as part of your EMGS application. This confirms your fitness to study and flags anything that needs attention before you travel.

Within the required window after arriving, attend a full medical examination at an EMGS-approved clinic in Kuala Lumpur. Results are submitted directly to EMGS to finalise your pass.

Medical insurance coverage is arranged as part of the process and remains valid throughout your studies, giving you peace of mind from day one on campus.
